Tales of the Town Vinyl

Tales of the Town is a multimedia project (podcast, album, film, art exhibit) that chronicles nearly 100 years of Black history, culture, and resistance in Oakland, California. Hosted and executive produced by Abbas Muntaqim and Delency Parham, the project highlights the Great Migration and radical activism. The work serves as a tribute to the resilience of the city’s Black community and acts as a preservation tool against gentrification and historical erasure.
