Overlay: Architectural League New York at Parsons
during my internship at Geoffrey von Oeyen Design, summer 2014
Summer of 2014, Geoff von Oeyen had just won the Architectural League Prize of the year and was due to display his work at Parsons, Chris and I were Geoff's second year students and would spend the summer interning at his office.
Together, Chris, Eugene, and I designed 72 custom wood boxes displaying Geoff's work. Each box tilted at a unique angle for the entire assembly to create a concave effect. Some boxes included 3D prints, and others CNC'd canyons on their sides. Geoff received an install location right next to the gallery's window, so we decided to take advantage of its light quality. Each box received an acrylic covering to reflect sun and movement off the New York City street.
